Frequently asked questions

Who is Talked?

Talked is an Australian online therapy platform that connects people with fully registered psychologists. St Lukes has partnered with Talked so eligible members can get mental health support through secure telehealth sessions and access online wellbeing resources.

Am I eligible for the free session?

You are eligible if you are a St Lukes or Astute Simplicity Health member holding eligible Extras cover which includes mental wellness, have served the relevant waiting periods, and your policy is active and financial. Everyone listed on an eligible policy gets their own free session, so your partner and family members can use the service too. If you are not sure which cover you have, check with St Lukes.

Is the session really free?

Yes. Eligible members get one free 50-minute psychology session* per person, per calendar year, along with access to the Talked wellbeing tools and resources.

If you would like to keep seeing your psychologist after that session, you can book more sessions privately at a discounted rate, or claim a Medicare rebate if you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

Is the service confidential?

Yes, what you talk about stays between you and your psychologist. St Lukes does not see your session notes or hear what you discuss. Talked psychologists follow strict professional and ethical standards and your information is protected under Australian privacy laws.

The only confidential information provided to St Lukes is your utilisation of service.
