What are the prerequisites for joining the platform?
To join Talked you must be a qualified psychologist, counsellor, psychotherapist or social worker who can provide professional online therapy to a wide range of clients via Talked.
You must be a member of one of the following regulatory bodies: Australia Psychology Society (APS), Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APRHA), Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), Australian Counselling Association (ACA) (minimum level 3 membership).
You must have your own valid and up-to-date liability insurance.
We currently do not accept private practices to join.
Your profile and account will go through a verification process where you'll be asked to supply supporting evidence of membership details.
Is this a directory website or will I be required to work for you?
Talked is not a directory website.
When you join our team you'll sign a provider agreement with us and provide therapy services to Talked clients.
You'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule and pricing, while we handle a lot of the admin work for you.
How much does it cost?
We charge no monthly fees or joining fees and you can cancel or pause your account at anytime.
We charge a flat 25% service fee for each session booked. This helps keep the platform running, market your services and enables us to provide around the clock support.
Can I accept in-person appointments?
You sure can! Just enter your practice address and your clients can start booking in-person appointments.
How will I get paid?
We use Stripe to process all payments, which is a company that is trusted by millions of businesses and consumers.
Once you've connected your Stripe account, your session fees will be transferred directly into your account.
Do you only allow for Telehealth appointments?
Nope! You can also add your practice location to start accepting in-person bookings.
I have a practice with multiple employees, can I sign up?
Unfortunately at this time we are only allowing individual therapists to sign up.
Is your platform secure and is the video conferencing private?
Talked protects your personal information with industry standard SSL and encryption so you and your clients are always safe and secure.
Our video software uses encrypted channels to connect you with your clients. They are 100% private and never recorded or stored.
Can I pause my account when I have enough work?
Whether you have enough work or just want to take a break our platform allows you to pause your account for any length of time.
This gives you the control and flexibility to work however you want.
I'm a Medicare Provider, can I join Talked?
Absolutely! Clients can upload their Medicare info and referral during the booking process. Invoices are automatically generated to facilitate the rebate process.
Will I become an employee of Talked? Do I need to sign a contract?
As an independent contractor you will be required to sign our Therapist Provider Agreement before starting work on Talked.
