How much rebate will I get back from Medicare?
You'll receive $0.00 back from Medicare after each session, which makes your out-of-pocket cost $1.50.
How will I get my Medicare rebate?
After your session you'll be able to submit your Talked invoice to Medicare and receive your rebate directly into your bank account within a few days.
Am I eligible for a Medicare rebate?
In order to claim a rebate from Medicare you must:
- Have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (also known as a Mental Health Care Plan, MHCP)
- Have a referral from your GP
- Have a valid Medicare card
Do I need to pay for the session upfront?
Yes, then after you've made a booking you'll be able to claim your rebate from Medicare.
Do I need my GP referral and MHTP before booking?
No, you can book a session first, but you must see your GP and get the MHTP before your session.
Can I use my existing referral?
If you already have a referral for a different psychologist, you do not need a new one and can use your existing one.
