This year came with many wins and growth pains for Talked – all in the pursuit of improving how we deliver high-quality mental health care to more people across Australia.
That’s why our team is very pleased to share that Talked has been recognised in the 2025 Australian Financial Review Fast 100, ranking 33rd with a compound annual growth rate of 362.84% for FY23-25.
More than the rank and recognition, this moment reflects the impact we’re making every day. It’s about the thousands of people who’ve found support through Talked, the therapists who’ve joined our mission, and the simple yet life-changing idea we started with: that mental health care should be easier to access, no matter where you are or what you’re going through.
About the Australian Financial Review: AFR is one of Australia’s leading business and finance publications, known for its trusted reporting on economics, markets, and corporate news.
The AFR Fast 100 annually recognises high-growth Australian companies that are making a significant impact in their industries.
Talked began in Melbourne with a deeply personal motivation. After losing a close family member, Ben, our co-founder, saw just how hard it can be to find the right mental health support when you need it most.
That experience sparked the idea for a platform that would make connecting with a qualified therapist simpler, faster, and more affordable.
We’ve come a long way since then. From a small, passionate team working on a big idea, we’ve grown into a national platform helping thousands of Australians find the support they need.
We’ve built tools to make therapy, triage services, and self-help resources more accessible, with flexible session and funding options so more people can get help on their own terms.
The AFR recently shared our brand story in their feature: “How homegrown tech helps solve mental health crisis.” We invite you to read the full article here.
Making the AFR Fast 100 is a proud moment for us, but it’s definitely not a finish line.
Our team is excited to keep improving and expanding our services while staying grounded in clinically sound, ethical mental health care.
We’re gearing up to revamp our employee assistance program, private insurance partnerships, and other key services that can help us help more people.
