Does my CUA Health policy cover mental health services?

Understanding whether you can claim mental health services from CUA Health is very important. You can find out whether your CUA Health policy covers counselling and psychology services by checking your policy extras. How do I claim my rebate from CUA Health?

You can easily book a therapy session at your desired time with the CUA Health therapist of your choice. Pay for the appointment is required up-front in order to begin the claiming process. Is a psychologist also covered by CUA Health?

Yes, you may also claim a rebate from CUA Health when booking with a psychologist, as long as they are a CUA Health provider. We've made it easy for you to see all the CUA Health approved psychologists. However, as discussed below you can not claim both from CUA Health and Medicare.

Do I need a referral to claim my rebate with CUA Health?

A GP referral or a referral from CUA Health is not needed. You can simply book a session with one of our CUA Health approved therapists and then claim your rebate.

Can I claim a rebate from CUA Health and Medicare?

No, if you claim a rebate from CUA Health you can not also claim from Medicare. To make a claim from Medicare you must have a mental health care plan and a referral from the GP.
